So I had a small strips of Marimekko Hyasintti fabric, which I think was too fab to not have on something noticeable. I decided to cut the top dress from the quite thick Hyasintti and add the only black fabric I happened to have – black recycled sheet.
First I just added one layer of hem, but the contrast with the thick fabric was too much. It just didn’t look good. I felt quite disappointed, but after a good nights sleep I had the idea to add one more layer of thin black sheet (luckily I had just enough left) and it made the necessary difference. I added the black belt for the photos, but it wasn’t necessary.
